Today is Sunday and thus a rest day.
I find that getting in enough walking is really challenging some days, particularly Sundays. I’d really like to get into the habit of getting some walking in each morning. One thing that would really help is figuring out how to effectively do some web surfing from the treadmill. It would be nice to kill two birds with one stone during my usual morning surfing. Mouse and keyboard are a little awkward but maybe I will get used to it. Time flies while playing on the internet and it would be great to combine this while doing something actually productive.
I emailed a local RKC/FMS certified trainer today. I’m hoping to get a few sessions of kettlebell form work plus general mobility assessment. My kettlebell swings just don’t feel right. They aren’t quite Jillian Michaels bad but I can tell that I’m not getting full hips into it and maybe hitting the lower back too hard. I have a feeling that fixing the KB swings will transfer directly to many other areas given the broad importance of both hip extension and lower back stability.
Mashed cauliflower is awesome. I really need to make this more often. The leftovers the next day were just as good. Seems like this will take a wide variety of spice combinations to keep it interesting.
Currently reading Intervention by Dan John. Great book that is really clarifying some things for me. The “park bench” versus “bus bench” analogy is particularly interesting and something I will expand on in the future.
Took my first dosage of Athletic Greens today. Should be interesting to see if there is any noticeable effect from this.
