  • Squats: 275 x 1+: 5!

My squat results haven’t been great the past few workouts and I’m still sore all over from the Jon North seminar so I went into today’s workout expecting the worst.  For reasons that I can’t explain, I seem to have my best days when I expect the least and my worst days when I expect the most.  Weird.

5 reps for 275 was great.  Not only is this more reps with more weight than last week’s 260 for 3 but it is also the best I’ve done for reps since about July of last year.  That was back when I was doing Starting Strength and pretty confused about how to do a proper squat.  I’m pretty sure the squats I did today were a heck of a lot better and deeper than those old personal bests so this really feels like solid new territory.
