Wendler 5/3/1 Cycle 6 Week 1
Bench: 195 x 5+: 5
Barely got the 5 reps up. The 5th rep went up slooooooooow but I was determined to get it up there to meet the minimal 5 reps. Felt also sorts of weird pains in strange places like the side of the lower back (kidney?!) during this.
- Bench 115 lbs: 10, 10, 10, 10, 10
- BB rows 135 lbs: 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
- Roman chair situps: 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
Did some simple snatch technique work. Just some simple reps from the high hang position with just the bar and then with 95. I definitely feel like I’m starting to really get it but the magic moment hasn’t happened yet.
- DB curls ~30 lbs: 10, 10, 10, 10, 10
- Pullups: 4, 4, 4, 3, 4
Slightly new protocol for this — I’m using a timer and setting the time between sets at 60 minutes. I get too antsy about wanting to finish the work that I get ahead of myself so hopefully the timer helps me keep to the spirit of the experiment.
The 4th set of pullups felt really wonky for some reason so I cut it short.
