2013-05-20 Fitness Log: Squat, Bench

Wendler 5/3/1 Cycle 6 Week 2

  • Squat: 265 x 3+: 5
  • Bench: 207.5 x 3+: 3

265 lbs for 5 reps is one of the best performances that I have written down since July of last year with 275 for 5 from last cycle being the best.  Can’t argue with that.  My only complaint is that I’m pretty sure I had a couple more reps in me but I stopped short as soon as the bar started slowing down.

Bench was so-so.  Could’ve been better, could’ve been worse.  I probably should have gone for another rep to push it.

Assistance Circuit

  • Bench 115 lbs: 10, 10, 10, 10, 10
  • KB renegade rows (1 pood): 5/5, 5/5, 5/5, 5/5, 5/5
  • RC situps: 5, 5, 5, 5, 5

I threw in KB renegade rows as learned from my trainer last week.  I really like these but they are tearing up the concrete when I do them off mat and they are too unstable on mat.
