Wendler 5/3/1 Cycle 6 Week 4 – Deload + 1RM
Press: 55 x 5, 75 x 5, 85 x 5, 105 x 3, 115 x 3, 125 x 2, 135 x 1, 145 x 1, 155 x 1, 162.5 x 0, 160 x 0
Cleans:
- 135 lbs: power clean x 1, hang clean x 1, clean x 1
- 165 lbs: power clean x 1, hang power clean x 1, power clean x 1
- 185 lbs: power clean x 1, hang power clean x 1, clean x 1 (after two misses)
- 205 lbs: power clean x 0, hang power clean x 0, clean x 1
- 215 lbs: clean x 0 (3 attempts)
Deadlift: 285 x 1, 305 x 1, 355 x 1, 405 x 0, 375 x 0
Not a particularly spectacular performance. For the press, I tried to go a little above my previous 1RM of 160 and couldn’t budge the bar. Not even close.
Cleans were messy. I can’t argue too much with getting 205 but everything else was a jumble. I probably shouldn’t have tried mixing power and full cleans.
Deadlift also didn’t go well. I did 355 for 4 last week and the 1 this week felt like a max effort lift. 405 wouldn’t even move off the ground.
Realistically speaking, I’ve started to experiment with intermittent fasting this week so I was fasted before the workout and I also ran 5k last night so it isn’t too surprising that today was a mess.
