My knee is feeling a little better today but I decided to keep today all upper body just to give it more rest and to generally recover from yesterday’s squats. I hit the knee area with some serious trigger point therapy last night with a roller, lacrosse ball, thumbs, and whatever else I could get in there with. I could feel a weird nodule at the top of the big calf muscle on the outside back of the leg and I attacked this with a vengeance. This seemed to immediately help and turned the weird lock-up pain into a dull soreness which is still lingering but it is much better than before.
In any case, I wanted to keep the Tuesday snatch work tradition so I figured it would be a good time to throw in some behind-the-neck snatch push presses. I worked up slowly given that this is a new movement for me. It went great. I didn’t expect to get it up to 135.
