Fitness Log 2013-07-12: Light Upperbody

Light Upperbody Circuit

  • Incline DB bench press: 40 lbs x 10, 10, 10
  • One leg/one arm DB row: 40 lbs x 10/10, 10/10, 10/10
  • Pushups: 20, 20, 20
  • Chins: 0 lbs x 3, 10 lbs x 2, 20 lbs x 1

The idea here was to just get in another day of bench press work ala Texas Method light day.  The DB and body weight work are a nice functional/balancing touch on top of the barbell work.

As I may have mentioned in the past. chin-ups/pull-ups are hard for me due to some strange impingement in my upper arm.  I can knock out a few reps like a champ but then it feels like some tendon or something is getting twisted up in a bad way.  I had the brilliant idea today after doing one set unweighted that maybe low rep, weighted pull-ups could be a way to work around this.
