Fitness Log 2013-09-17: Bench, etc.

Bench

  • Warmup: 45 lbs x 5, 95 x 5, 135 x 5, 155 x 3, 175 x 1, 195 x 1
  • 215 x 5, 5, 5 (5RM PR)
  • 225 x 1
  • 235 x 1
  • 245 x X

Cool to get 5 at 215.  Looks like my last attempt at this was in April and I only got 2 reps so there is some real progress.   The 5th rep on each set were all very slow grinders.  Surprised I got them but I got them.

Went for some heavy singles after.  Nothing exciting there.  Hard to do much after the three grinder sets of 5.

DB Rows

  • 60 lb x 5/5
  • 110 x 3/3
  • 110 x 3/3

This was a test run with my new DB handle.

KB Presses

  • 40 lb (18 kg) x 10/10, 10/10, 10/10
