Okay, that was kinda awesome. I did the slow crawl approach adding 10 lbs every rep. When I hit 205, I started wondering if I should back off to 5 lb increments and even considered maybe trying 2.5 lbs. I decided that the 10 lb increments were working well so I went for it and hit 215 with ease. At that point, I figured that the 10 lb increment was a good old friend and threw 225 on the bar. Boom, no problem — new PR. I kept the +10 for a 235 try but that was a bit eager. I backed off for another hit at 225 (nice!) and a miss at 230. Good day.
I experimented with a narrower grip. Maybe 3/4″ in on the knurling. This seemed pretty effective give the results.
