Everything was fine up to 115 and then I just couldn’t keep the bar overhead. I took an extended break (~15/mins for bathroom) after the 105 so that might have contributed.
Clean & Jerk
- 135 lbs x 1/1
- 165 x 1/1
- 175 x 1/1
- 185 x 1/1
- 195 x 1/1 (press out)
- 205 x 1/X
- 215 x X
- 215 x 1
- 225 x X
No bad after the great showing on Thursday. I didn’t realize it at the time but 195 was an attempt at duplicating my prior PR on the clean & jerk. It was an ugly press out but I got it overhead.
I probably should have done some reps in the 185-195 area to work on the jerk.
Front Squat

270 was a PR attempt. I probably should work up slower once getting close to my max. 255 felt like nothing but 270 wouldn’t budge from the bottom. Working up in increments might have made it less of a shock to the system.
