Fitness Log 2013-10-18: Bench, etc.

Bench (Intensity)

  • 45 lbs x 5, 135 x 5, 150 x 5, 170 x 3, 190 x 2, 210 x 1
  • 230 x 5 (5RM PR)

For reasons I can’t comprehend, I decided rather than going for 227.5 lbs, I’d shoot for 230 instead.  It’s only an extra 2.5 lbs but that can make a big difference on a 5RM particularly given how slow last week’s 225 went up.  In any case, the 5th rep this week also went up incredibly slow but it went up.

DB Incline Bench

  • 40 lb x 10, 10, 10 (slow reps)
  • 1 min rest

Close Grip Bench

  • 135 x 8, 6
  • 1 min rest

Pushups

  • 16, 12, 12

Decided to close out the upper body work with some pushups.

Ab Wheel

  • From knees: 10, 10

Cycling

  • 15 minutes
  • Dist 4.0, 103 cal, 193 ave W, 16.4 ave speed

Just a light cool down.
