  • 165 x 1 (PR!!!!!!!)

Well, well, well.  Finally 165 falls!  This has been almost a year in the making after hitting 160 on November 10, 2012 and then regressing after that.  As recently as a September 27 of this year, I had not only failed to hit a new PR of 165 but I couldn’t even reproduce my old max of 160.  The magic reversal is the result of applying my programming idea that was so successful for the bench over the summer to the press.  So far so good.

Close Grip Bench

  • Warmup: 45 x 5, 90 x 5, 135 x 3
  • 155 x 5, 5, 14

Still haven’t found a good working weight for this yet.  The more weight I add, the more reps I get!

Incline DB Curls

  • 25 lbs x 10, 8, 8
  • 1 min rest

Skipped out after this because at this point the workout was well over an hour.  The press PR made it a successful day.
