Power Clean & Push Jerk (PR)

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done any heavy clean & jerks so I wasn’t expecting much.  Surprisingly, I not only duplicated my prior power clean PR of 205 but I also push jerked it setting a push jerk PR and I believe an overall clean & jerk PR.  Not bad!

Deadlift

  • Pavel’s Westside Program Week 1
  • 215 x 3, 255 x 3
  • 290 x 1 x 15 (1:00r)

The Pavel deadlift program went so well last time that I’m doing it again.

Circuit

  • 5 rounds of:
    • 6 x Back extension
    • 6 x Power snatch @ 85 lb
  • Total Time: 7:35 (brief phone interruption)

Interval

  • Tabata Sandbag Clean & Press
  • 5, 5, 5, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4 = 35
